Michael L. Trulick/1966
Worthington
Michael L. Trulick, 58, of Worthington, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at
his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1949, in Kittanning, son of Alda Jean (Mateer)
Trulick and the late Joseph Trulick Sr. He was self-employed. Besides
his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marcia (Swigart) Trulick; son,
Paul Trulick and Eileen, of Worthington, and brother, Joseph Trulick
Jr., of Worthington. Private services were held at SNYDER-CRISSMAN
FUNERAL HOME, Cowansville. Interment was held at St. Patrick Church
Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township.
Shirley M. Claypoole Solada/1964
Worthington
Shirley Mae (Claypoole) Solada, 62, of Worthington, died Sunday, April
5, 2009, at home, with family at her side. She was born June 25, 1946,
in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Merle G. and Alice (McMunn)
Claypoole. She was a lifelong resident of Worthington and attended
Harvest Community Church. She worked for 28 years as a department
manager at Moonlight Mushrooms in Worthington and also as a safety
supervisor at JSP International in East Butler. She loved to crochet and
spend time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She is survived
by her husband of 38 years, Daniel G. Solada; daughters, Wendy D.
(David) Schultz, of Worthington; sons, Lee G. (Wendy) Solada, of Sarver,
and Brian K. (Megan) Solada, of Glen Allen, Va.; stepsons, David
(Sherry) Solada, of Leechburg, and Dennis (Dawn) Solada, of Connecticut;
stepdaughter, Denise (Daniel) Aikens, of Leechburg; 19 grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy (William) Renshaw, of
Freeport, Faye Ann (James) Cook, of Worthington, and Nancy (Jeffery)
Prewitt, of San Diego, Calif. Shirley battled cancer for the past seven
years and never gave up her fight to live. Friends will be received from
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington,
where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with ministers Bob
French and Gene Strazzer co-officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make

Nancy G. Daugherty Riley/1962
Freeport
Nancy Grace Riley, 64, of Freeport, passed away peacefully Wednesday,
Oct. 22, 2008, at her residence. Nancy was born Oct. 23, 1943, in
Kittanning, daughter of the late Simon H. and Phyllis Mae (Pence)
Dougherty. She attended Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church. She
enjoyed camping, traveling, going to yard sales and watching NASCAR
races. Nancy is survived by her two sons, David (Mary) Hidinger, of
Freeport, and Scott E. (Chrissy) Hidinger, of Bear, Del.; five
grandchildren, Danielle A., David W., Sean, Andrew and Amber Hidinger;
sister, Barbara (Jim) Patterson, of Elkton, Md.; and brother, Walter
(Jackie) Dougherty, of Slate Lick. She was preceded in death by her
daughter, Marsha Hidinger Aubuchon; and sister, Gloria G. Turney. Family
and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of service
at noon Friday in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport,
with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Interment will be private and held

Larry K. Stewart/1962
Worthington
Larry K. "Punk" Stewart, 63, Worthington, died Thursday, Jan.
18, 2007, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 20,
1943, in Kittanning, son of the late Adam and Sarah (Meyers) Stewart. He
was employed by West Franklin Township. He was a veteran of the National
Guard. He was a member of West Glade Run Presbyterian Church,
Worthington American Legion, Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club and Happy
Hunters Club in Fenelton. He enjoyed deer hunting and camping. He is
survived by his wife, Hazel (Altman) Stewart; son, Timothy Stewart, of
Butler; brother, Miles "Buck" Stewart and wife, Carol, of Ford
City; sister, Nancy Walton and husband, Bud, of La Porte, Ind.; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Glade Run
Presbyterian Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Robert Hindman will officiate. Interment will take place in West Glade
Run Church Cemetery.
Daniel C. Young/1959
Emlenton
Daniel C. "Boone" Young, 64, of Main Street, Emlenton, died at
5:17 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Clarion Hospital following a
brief illness. He was born May 27, 1941 in Kittanning to Albert B. and
Arlene (Loughery) Young. Mr. Young was a professional musician for many
years and was a drummer in the Tri-State Country Music Association, Inc.
He was also a member of the New Kensington Musician's Union. He was a
graduate of Worthington High School. He had been a social member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars in Parker and the Petroleum Valley Lions Club.
He enjoyed good-humored conversation with his many friends. Survivors
include one son, Daniel Albert Young of Kittanning; one cousin, Margie
Laughery of Punxsutawney; his former wife, Diana Lynn Pella Young Beer
Pella of Kittanning; and close friends, Wayne and Audrey Pearson. He was
preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Graveside funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Emlenton Cemetery, Kerr
Avenue, Emlenton, with the Rev. Jack Robinson, Nazarene Pastor,
officiating. Burial will follow in the Emlenton Cemetery. Arrangements
by Hile Funeral Home, Inc., Emlenton.
James H. Yockey/1945
Worthington
James H. Yockey, 80, of Worthington, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in
Worthington, a son of the late Ulysses and Delilah (Lemmon) Yockey. He
retired from Eljer in Ford City after 30 years of service. He was a life
member of the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he had been
an active member. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his
camp in Brookville. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eva
(Adams) Yockey; three children, Shirley (Lee) Duthry, of Worthington,
James Yockey, of Florida, and Ray (Barbara) Yockey, of Cowansville; nine
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Rugini. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie
and Genieve; four half sisters, Nona, Vivian, Freda and Violet; and five
brothers, Lemmon, William, Eugene, Charles and George. Visitation 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the F. DUANE
SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Additional visitation will be from 10
a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. in Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Worthington. The Rev. Nola Eisenbrandt, church pastor, with officiate.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Memorial contributions may be
made to Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Cancer
Association.
George Dan Gaiser/1940
Worthington
George Dan Gaiser, 88, of Worthington, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at
home. He was born April 11, 1919, to the late Arthur and Viola (Forman)
Gaiser and lived in the community all of his life. Mr. Gaiser was the
former owner of the Atlantic gas station and garage, Worthington, an
Army veteran who served from 1941 to 1945 in Normandy and Northern
France and of the Lutheran faith. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; seven
stepchildren; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He also was
predeceased by his first wife, Isabel (Patton) Gaiser. Visitation will
be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME,
Worthington. Additional visitation from 10 until an 11 a.m. service
Friday in Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Nola
Eisenbrandt officiating. Interment in Worthington Lutheran Church
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Eva B. “Abo” (Troutner) Croyle/1937
Worthington
Eva B. “Abo” (Troutner) Croyle, 85, of Worthington died Friday, May
13, 2005 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.
She was born Dec. 7, 1919 in Worthington to Charles A. and Clara
(Forrester) Troutner. Mrs. Croyle was a member of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Worthington. She was active with the Worthington
Senior Center. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include one son, Albert B. Croyle of Worthington; two
daughters, Carol Fries and husband Daniel of St. Petersburg, Fla. and
Susan Faulx and husband James, of Worthington; four grandchildren, Chris
Greenawalt of California, Amy Haffling and husband Gregory of
Martinsburg, Jeffrey Croyle and wife Kimberly of Lordstown,Ohio, and
Eric Croyle of Hilliard, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Ian and
Elizabeth Haffling and Brooklyn and Malani Croyle; two sisters, Dorothy
Beers of Colville, Wash., and Delores Croyle of Ford City; and one
brother, Theodore Troutner of Cleveland.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, James M.
“Tad” Croyle who died in 1991; one granddaughter, Jamie Sue Faulx;
one brother, Charles Troutner; and one sister, Twilla Hawley.
There will be no public visitation and burial will be at the
convenience of the family in the Worthington Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Worthington Senior Center or the
Worthington Free Public Library.

Worthington
Frank J. "Sparky" Bono, 92, of Worthington, died Saturday, May
17, 2008, at Sugarcreek Rest, after a short illness. He was born March
25, 1916, in Worthington, son of the late James Bono and Mary (Trott)
Bono. He worked for Michigan Limestone Co., of Worthington, US Steel
Sintering Plant, of Saxonburg, and Baker's Gas Co., of Worthington. He
was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Coylesville. Frank is
survived by his three sons, William F. (Barbara) Bono, of Butler,
Richard A. (Beverly) Bono, of Kittanning, and Ronald L. (Cheryl) Bono,
of Worthington; three grandchildren, Mrs. Wendy Franceschi, Mrs. Justine
Trotta and Mrs. Colby Frazer; five great-grandchildren; brother, Rocco
Bono, of Worthington; and two sisters, Frances Abranovich, of
Worthington, and Delores Bono, of Worthington. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Tierney) Bono, who
died Feb. 13, 2002; four brothers; and four sisters. Friends will be
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL
HOME, Worthington. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday
in St. John's Catholic Church, Coylesville, with his pastor, Father
Kenneth Kezmarsky, as celebrant. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial
