Helen R Leslie
Helen R. Leslie 89 of 812 Highland Ave. died at 3:15 a.m., April 13, 1996 in
Overlook Medical Clinic, New Wilmington, Pa.
She was born in Pittsburgh on May 13, 1906 to the Rev. Wilham Hutchman Leslie
and Myrtle (Ralston) Leslie.
Ms. Leslie taught at Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.,
during 1942 and 1943. She retired as a music supervisor from New Castle Area
Schools, New Castle, Pa., a position she held for 20 years.
She belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, the Melivane Guild and American
Business Women's Association.
Survivors include her nephew, John F. Jenny of New Castle, a niece, Mrs. Lloyd
(Cora) Cole of Youngstown, Ohio, and her cousin, Marion D. Loupe of Canfield,
Ohio.
Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road,
where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Cunninghams's by the Rev, Dr.
Keith Curran, pastor of First Presbyterian Church.
Burial will follow in Cowansville Cemetery, Armstrong County, Cowansville, Pa. |
