Elmira Goldie LaSitis, 83, of 244 East Main St., Worthington, Pa., died at 9:30
a.m. Monday, August 4, 1975, at her home.
 
She was the widow of Joseph LaSitis.
 
A retired schoolteacher, she taught from 1948 - 1959 at Worthington-West
Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
 
She was a member of Kittanning First Baptist Church, Kittanning, Pa., Emporium
Order of the Easter Star, Kittanning Order of the Amaranth and Worthington
Senior Citizens Club.
 
She was born June 2, 1892 at Turkey Foot, W  Va., a daughter of the late Daniel
and Sara Sophia (Bowser) Giles.
 
Surviving her are a son, Robert Joseph LaSitis of Worthington; a daughter,
Patricia (Robert) Parkman of Jordan, New York; four brothers, Sheridan A. Giles
of Linesville, Pa., Herbert T. Coggon of RR 6, Kittanning, Blair Coggon of
Lakeland, Fla. and Rev. Kenneth G. Coggon of Nehalem, Ore; and four
grandchildren.
 
Friends of Mrs. Elmira Goldie LaSitis, who died, Aug., 4, 1975, are being
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning.. Services will be conducted there at 1:30
p.m. Thursday by the Rev. David L. Harader, pastor of Christian Education at
First Baptist Church, Kittanning, and the Rev. Robert Gracey, pastor of
Cowansville, Presbyterian Church, Cowansville, Pa.
 
Burial will be in Montgomeryville Baptist Cemetery, Adrian, Pa.
