Thomas Paul Shankle

Thomas Paul Shankle, 46, of Worthington, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, due to a
motorcycle accident in Clarion. 

He was born January 13, 1964, in Kittanning, son of Thomas A. and Mary Jane
(Petras) Shankle, of Worthington.

He was a 1983 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He worked at Sophisticated Alloys Inc. in Butler. 

He attended the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, was a member of the Cherry
Run Wild Turkey Federation, enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, snowmobiling, riding
his motorcycle and spending time with his family and his dog, Baillie. 

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ronald and his wife, Chris
Shankle, of Mayport; grandfather, Thomas "Bud" Shankle, of Worthington; and many
aunts and uncles. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Shankle; and
maternal grandparents, Paul and Ethel Petras. 

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Center Hill Church of the
Brethren with additional viewing one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Wes
Berkebile, church pastor, will officiate.
