Lucille M Jones
Luville M. Jones, 74, of Tampa, Fl., died Saturday, September 7, 1985, in the
John Knox Medical Center, Tampa, Fl.
A daughter of William Pearson and Florence Alma (Lakin) Jones, she was born
November 20, 1910 in Iselin, Pa.
Miss Jones was a member of Roberts Park Church, Indianapolis, In., AARP and
Order of Easter Star Chapter in Kittanning.
She graduated from Kittanning High School in 1929 and Oblerlin Conservatory of
Music in 1934 and did her graduate work at Penn State University.
She lived in Kittanning from 1925 to 1945 and was music supervisor in the
Kittanning Pubic School during the latter part of those years
She was a part of the faculty of Worthington-West Franklin High School for the
1935-1936 school year.
Prior to retirement in 1977, she was associate professor of music at Jordan
School of Music at Butler University in Indianapolis.
Surviving are two brothers, James T. of Greentree and Robert E. of Indiana; a
sister, Florence McGuire of New Kensington; eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28 in Christ
Episcopal Church, Indiana, with Rev. Fr. Arthur C. Dilg, officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
