Alberta Hutton

Alberta Hutton, 93, of Mars, formerly of Freeport, died Saturday (February 8,
2003) in St. John's Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born October 23, 1909, in Clearfield Township, she lived in Zelienople and
Freeport before Mars.

She was a 1927 graduate of Butler High School and received a degree in
intermediate education from Slippery Rock State Teachers College in 1929.

She was a teacher at various schools in Butler and Armstrong Counties for 31
years before retiring.

Mrs. Hutton was a former member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Butler, Trinity
Lutheran Church, Freeport, and English Lutheran and Seaman Memorial Lutheran
Churches in Zelienople. She was past president of the College Club in Freeport,
a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club in Butler, a
charter member of the Young Women in Business Club at the YWCA, Butler, and a
former volunteer at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.

She enjoyed sending birthday and get-well cards to parishioners of her
churches.

Survivors include a son, David G. Hutton of Newark, Del.; two grandchildren; and
a sister, Mary C. Hoehn of Zelienople.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hutton in 1990; and her parents,
Albert and Zilla Glenn Rieger.

A memorial service will be conducted at a date to be determined. 

Private burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Park, Worthington, Pa.

care, 401 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063.
