James Alan Smith, 44, of (Rayburn Township), RR 5, Kittanning, Pa., died Monday,
September 9, 2002 at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler Pa.
 
He was born April 26, 1958, in Kittanning to James C. and Carol (Jenkins)
Smith.
 
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa..
 
He was an insurance claims adjuster.
 
Survivors include one son, James Smith of RR 7, Kittanning; one daughter, Amanda
Smith of California; two grandchildren; his father and step-mother, James C. and
Shirley Smith of Cabot, Pa.; his mother and stepfather, Cliff and Carol
(Jenkins) Nolder of RR 5, Kittanning; two brothers, Donald G. Smith of Butler,
Pa., and Tad Eric Smith of Upper Burrell, Pa.; two step-brothers, Sean Darling
of Mexico and Seth Riley of Clark; one sister, Mrs. Michael (Joni) Parker of
Corpus Christi, Texas; and his companion, Sharon Cumberledge of Ford City, Pa.
 
Friends of James A. Smith, 44, of (Rayburn Township), RR 5, Kittanning, Pa., who
died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S McKean St.,
Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Thursday until
funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington
with Rev. George Hall, church pastor, officiating.
 
Burial will be in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
