Elizabeth Irene Shields Evans
Elizabeth Irene (Shields) Evans, 58, of East Franklin Township, died
unexpectedly Sunday, December 28, 2014, at home.
She was born December 29, 1955, in Kittanning, a daughter of James G. and the
late Patricia (Reichard) Shields.
She was a 1974 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where she was a former secretary
for 27 years.
Her life revolved around her grandchildren who she babysat and helped care for.
She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Western PA Fireman's
Association and the High Hatters.
She loved crocheting and gambling and listing to Celtic Thunder. She liked
going to the beach every summer with her daughter and grandchildren and going
on bus trips.
She will be sadly missed by her father; her husband of 38 years, William Evans;
daughter, Lisa Bettelyoun (Josh); son, Chris Evans; grandchildren, Patrick
Evans-Arblaster, Sean Evans-Arblaster, Austin Evans-Arblaster and Heath
Bettelyoun; and lifelong friend, Karen Crawford.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, James
Gilbert Shields.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN
FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at Faith Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kathy Davis officiating.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
