George Charles Long

George Charles Long, 61, of North Jackson passed on Wednesday, November 1, 2017
in St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. 

George was born on September 12, 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland the son of Charles
and W. Joyce (Shearer) Long.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out with his buddy, Jack. George was an
avid and faithful fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and to NASCAR.
In later years, he enjoyed his bird feeders and watching the deer in the back
field while listening to his music and drinking his beer.

George was a good-hearted person who enjoyed helping others. This was expressed
by his gift of life to others through his organ donation. He will be truly
missed by his family and friends of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Memories of George will be carried on by his sisters, Bonnie Long Kelecava and
Beverly Long Peters of North Jackson and his two nieces, Stephanie (Jake) Garcia
of Warren and Brianna Kelecava of North Jackson and his fellow members of the
Fat Man Club.

Preceding George were his mother, W. Joyce Shearer Long; his father, Charles N.
Long and his brother, John M. Long.

A Celebration of Life and dinner will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017, from
3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall Post 737 in Lake Milton,
Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, you are welcomed to share your favorite covered dish with
others at the dinner.
