Kathryn Elizabeth Smith Hunsbarger Sorenson
Kathryn Elizabeth Smith Hunsbarger Sorenson, 61, of Park St., Corry, Pa., died
on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at her home.
She was born on March 16, 1954, in Kittanning, Pa., a daughter of Helen
(Crawford) Smith of Wildwood, Fla., and the late J. Ralph Smith.
Kathy was raised and educated in Worthington, Pa., and graduated from
Worthington High School in 1972.
She moved to Corry in 1993 and worked as a cashier at Tractor Supply and later
at Family Dollar.
Kathy moved to Clearwater, Fla., in 2002. While there she was an assistant
manager at Dollar Tree. She returned to Corry in 2006 and worked at Anchor House
and then with Senior Helpers until she retired.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Sorenson, Sr., whom she married
on December 8, 2001, in Corry, Pa.; a daughter, Stacy Mulford and her husband
Kevin of Slippery Rock, Pa.; a son, Robert Hunsbarger and his companion Steven
Wadsworth of Erie, Pa.; two step-daughters, Amber Winters and her husband Jared
of Union City, Pa., and Tabitha Calheta and her husband Michael of Martha’s
Vineyard, Ma.; a step-son, Kenneth R. Sorenson, Jr., of Corry, Pa.; and a
sister, Gloria Mason and her husband William of Worthington, Pa. She is also
survived by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
There will be no calling hours observed. Services will be held privately by the
family.
