David Phillip Henderson

David Phillip Henderson, Salem Township, Greenville, RD 1, formerly of Sandy
Lake and a former school teacher, was pronounced dead on arrival at the
Greenville Hospital after suffering a heart attack, on March 21, 1979. He was 56
years old.

Mr. Henderson was born November 19, 1922, in Sandy Lake, a son of the late Harry
H. and Ruth I. (Davis) Henderson.

For the past three years he had lived at the William Foster Home, near
Greenville.

A graduate of Slippery Rock College, he earned his master's degree at Penn State
University. His last teaching position was in West Middlesex in 1963.

He was part of the faculty of Worthington-West Franklin High School for the
1953-1954 and 1954-1955 school years

He attended Sandy Lake Church of Christ.

During World War II, he served with the coast artillery and infantry.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Adda Mae Perry of Grove City and a brother,
Charles E. of Stoneboro, RD 1.

Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake, Mercer County, Pa.

The Edward P. McMullen Funeral Home of Sandy Lake is in charge of the
arrangements.
