Mark Robert Sims
Mark Robert Sims, 60, of Worthington, Pa., died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at
Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Pa.
He was born December 14, 1952, in Butler, a son of Mary K. (Sasse) Sims, of
Butler, and the late Mark G. Sims.
He was a 1971 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was employed at Armstrong Cement, Cabot, Pa. for 42 years.
He was a longtime member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, Pa.
and a member of Buffalo Valley Sportsmans Club, Worthington and United
Steelworkers Union.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially riding his Harley with his wife.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife and best friend of
38 years, Sandra (Logan) Sims. He was a loving father to his children, Bobbi
(Brett A.) Johns, of Tarentum, Pa., and Jason P. (Brooke D.) Sims, of (Slate
Lick) Kittanning, Pa.; and adored his four grandchildren, Gabrielle Sims, Jason
Sims, Brettlyn Johns and Jaden Sims; brothers, Timothy W. (Lori J.) Sims, of
Butler, Pa. and Jeffrey M. (Deborah A.) Sims, of Sarver, Pa.; in-laws, Bob
Logan, of Butler, John T. (Laura L.) Logan, of Cabot, and Shawn C. and Judy L.
Henkel, of Cabot; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a very special uncle,
Gary L. Sasse.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father and
mother-in-law, Herman W. and Elizabeth Logan; and brother-in-law, Butch Logan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, 429 Bear Street, Worthington, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at St.
John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
