Robert Lee Bowser
Robert Lee Bowser, 55, of Slate Lick, died Saturday, August 4, 2007, at UPMC
Shadyside.
He was born October 22, 1951, in Kittanning, a son of the late Clarence and
Mabel (Long) Bowser.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He worked at Dlubak Inc., in Slate Lick, and was an Army Reserve veteran,
serving in Vietnam.
He was a member of Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club, Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club
and the German Short Hair Pointer Club of Pittsburgh.
He was an avid hunter and trained award-winning Pointing dogs. He was also an
avid outdoorsman, ran dogs in the AKC hunt tests and was a guide for numerous
hunting preserves throughout the county and state.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Bowser, of Slate Lick; sons, Casey Bowser, of
Butler, and Chad Bowser, of Slate Lick; grandson, Luke Bowser, who was his pride
and joy, of Butler; sisters, Donna Fahlor and husband, Raymond, of Cowansville,
and Shirley Bowser, of Craigsville; a niece, Bev Hika, of Craigsville; and a
nephew, Curt Fahlor, of Cowansville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one niece and one
nephew.
Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where services will be 11 a.m.
Thursday with the Rev. John Snyder officiating.
Interment will be at Slate Lick Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.
