Gary Lamont Shields
Gary Lamont Shields, age 68 of Apple Valley, MN., passed away in his home on
April 14, 2020.
Gary was born on December 21, 1951 in Tarentum, PA. a son of Harry and Frances
(Todd) Shields.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, PA.
He was known for his decorated service in the United States Army as a helicopter
repairman.
Gary was proud to continue those skills of working on helicopters and airplanes.
He loved to share his army stories and mechanic expertise for the remainder of
his life.
Survived by his children: Gidget, Crystal, and Cory; siblings; Linda, Amy,
Cindy, and Amber; Grandchildren: Cody, Cory, Dominick, Darin, Brady, Zachary,
Desiree, Hallie, Victoria, and Avery; 1 Great-grandson: Hayden; and by many
other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, .
Services will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
The family is humbly requesting donations for funeral expenses in lieu of
flowers.
