Linda Kay Long Flick

Linda Kay Long Flick, 71, of Crystal River, FL, passed away on Monday, September
18, 2023, at Bravera Health Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River.

A native of Worthington, PA, she was born July 23, 1952, to Fred and Ruth
(Bowser) Long, the youngest of seven children.

She was a 1970 graduate of Worthngton-West Franklin High School in Worthington,
PA.

Linda earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and
along with her beloved late husband James A. Flick, moved to Citrus Springs, FL
in 2002 from Worthington, where they had both spent most of their lives.

After her husband Jim passed away on December 17, 2008, Linda started a career
in funeral service with Fero Funeral Home in Beverly Hills, Florida that lasted
nearly 15 years.

She started as a funeral service assistant and immediately set herself apart
from many as a dedicated employee willing to assist in any way she was needed.
Her knowledge of computers and her advanced technical abilities endeared her to
her coworkers as an indispensable team member; there was no task too small or
too big for Linda.

Linda went on to proudly earn her Associate Degree in Funeral Service from St.
Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL. Above all else, Linda loved and adored
her family and especially loved spending a lot of time with her two grandsons.

She enjoyed talking on the phone with her relatives in Pennsylvania and with her
best friend Debby.

As an avid dog lover during her life, she also enjoyed spending time playing
with her beloved dog, Ebony. Playing golf, a nice hot cup of black coffee, and a
glass of red wine were among her passions in life.

Her perfect day would start with breakfast at the local Breakfast Station with
her grandson Ruari, which would most likely be black coffee and Eggs Benedict.

Linda was also a faithful and devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers; enjoyed
watching their games with a glass of her red wine, and her favorite color was
blue.

She is survived by her stepson James W. Flick (wife Theresa) of Crystal River;
grandsons William Rutterman and Ruari Flick, both of Crystal River; nieces Julie
and Stacy and a large family of coworkers who will most certainly miss her.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband Jim, Linda was preceded in
death by all six of her siblings, Charles, Paul, Robert, Donald, Betty Cressler,
and Delores Stewart.

Family, friends, and coworkers will gather at Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S.
Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, Florida at 6:00 P.M. on Fri., October 6, 2023, where
a Celebration of Linda’s life will commence at 7:00 P.M. Wilder Funeral Home,
Homosassa, FL.
