Kenneth E Haines
 
Kenneth E. Haines, 84, a residence of Coraopolis, Pa., for the past 62 years,
died February 7, 1997, in Allegheny General Hospital. Pittsburgh, Pa.
 
He was born February 20, 1912, in Punxsutawney, Pa. a son of the late Waide B.
and Ida (Burkett) Haines.
 
Mr. Haines was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, Indiana, Pa. For a
short time, he taught at Worthington- West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa., for the 1934-1935 school year. He was a former teacher for Neville Island
School District. He worked as an accountant for Ketchum, McLeod and Grave for 20
years, retiring in 1973.
 
He was a member of Coraopolis United Methodist Church, the "Belly" Club, the
Methodist Men's Club, AARP of Moon Township and Meals on Wheels.
 
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sophronia (Hill)
Haines, and a daughter, Alison "Lin" Petricola.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Gretchen Worth of Lakeland, Fla.; and a son, David
Haines of Columbus, Ohio; two sons-in-law, Arthur Worth and Gary Petricola; a
daughter-in-law, Sharon Haines; six grandchildren, Christopher Worth, Audrey
Smith, Jeffrey Worth, Trenton Waide Haines, Whitney Paige Iones and Zachary
Petricola; a brother, Ardell Haines of Sun City, Ariz.; and two sisters-in law,
Wilma and Evelyn Haines.
 
Friends were received in Copeland's Funeral Home, Coraopolis. A service
officiated by Dr. Donald G. Scandrol followed in Coraopolis United Methodist
Church.
 
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.

appreciated.
