Frederick Lester Peters Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 with his
loving wife by his side in Winterhaven, California.

Fred was born August 20, 1949 in Kittaning, Pa. to the late Frederick Lester
Peters Sr. and Naomi Mae (Turner) Peters

He attended elementary school in Worthington, Pa. In 1961 the family moved to
Indiana, Pa. where he graduated from high school. If the family would have
stayed in Worthington, Fred would have graduated from Worthington West-Franklin
High School in 1967. Prior to his graduation in Indiana, he had enlisted early
in the United States Air Force. He was proud to serve his country at Castle Air
Force Base in Merced, Ca. where he was a B-52 Bomber mechanic.

Fred married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Deborah Dawn
Mabon, on September 14, 1968 in Indiana. The couple resided in Merced until 1971
while Fred fulfilled his military duty.

After his discharge from the USAF, they returned to Indiana where Fred was
employed by Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Company as a surveyor.

They had two sons Shad Don Peters and Joshua Joe Peters which made the young
couple's lives complete.

Fred's quest for life took him and his family to Colo. in 1979. He was a pioneer
and instrumental in the opening of a new mine in Rangely, Colo. where he served
as superintendent.

He retired in 2000. He and his wife traveled extensively in their recreational
vehicle between their two homes in Colo. and Calif.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Mabon Peters; his two sons, Shad Don
Peters and wife Shelly of Rangely and Joshua Joe Peters and wife Suzie of
Fruita, Colo.; two grandsons, Chance Peters and wife Kelsey and Heath Peters
sons of Shad and Shelly; one granddaughter, Zoe Peters daughter of Joshua and
Suzie; four sisters, Twyla Jean Wilinski and husband John of Ballwin, Mo.,
Gaylene Robinson of Indiana, Cinda Lou Nudge and husband William of Lititz, Pa.,
Kimberly Sue Valenti and husband Lenny of New Bern, N.C., and many nieces and
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Luther Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
