We are sad to announce the death of Michael Frank Benton, who passed away
unexpectedly on February 4, 2024, from cancer/Covid.

He was 74 years old. Michael was born to Arthur (Pete) Clair and Margaret/Peggy
Rose (Hare) Benton on July 22, 1949, in Worthington, PA.

Upon graduation from Worthington West Franklin High School in 1967, he joined
the Navy and moved to San Diego, CA.

He was a proud veteran having earned the Navy National Defense Service Medal and
the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star during his time in the service of
his country.

He fell in love with the warm weather and the ocean and was always drawn back to
it.

Always a fan of working on cars and racing them, he worked as a mechanic until
his retirement. In recent years he had lived in CA and AZ but made many trips
back to PA.
He loved the desert and while in AZ had made friends with all his backyard
animal friends.

Michael had recently returned to live back in the Philippines.

He is survived by one son, Michael Shawn Benton, and his wife Lori from
Sharpsville, PA. Michael also leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sisters,
