James E Stubbs

James E. Stubbs, 65, of Arizona, formerly of Ford City, died Saturday, December
29, 2012, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. 

Born March 4, 1947, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late Walter and Elsie
(Febinger) Stubbs. 

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was Lutheran by faith. 

A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the Army Infantry. 

He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and spending time with his children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

He was a member of the Arizona Metal Detectors Club. 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ortman Stubbs, whom he married Sept. 12,
1968; daughters, Tina and Thomas Crossman, of Rural Valley, Lorie Fouse, of
Arizona, Wanda and William Herrin, of Vandergrift, Jaime and Michael Davis, of
Ford City, and Pamela and Harold McKendree, of Avella; sons, Roger Fouse, of
Leechburg, and Timothy Dingess, of Avella; a brother, Michael "Mickey" Stubbs,
of Ford City; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" and Al Gladysiewski, of Kittanning; 24
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert
Stubbs; a sister, Debbie Emery; two grandchildren, Tyler and Alannah; and
great-grandson, Lucas. 

Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the
MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC01 Sixth Ave., Ford City. 

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Carl
Johnson officiating.
