Janice Kay Nulph Hooks
Janice Kay (Nulph) Hooks, 49, of RD 1, Worthington, Pa. died Friday July 18,
1997 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township, Kittanning,
Pa., of an apparent heart attack.
She was born February 28, 1948 in Kittanning to Donald E. and Peggy (Keller)
Nulph.
She was a 1966 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Mrs. Hooks attended the Franklin Union Baptist Church, RD, Worthington.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert D. Hooks Sr. whom she married on March
11, 1967; one son Herbert D. Hooks Jr., of RD 1, Templeton, Pa.; one daughter
Mrs. Timothy (Kimberly D.) Claypoole of RD 3, Kittanning, Pa.; five
grandchildren, Stephanie, Tori, and Andrew Claypoole, Megan Lowery, and Jenna
Hooks, five brothers, Donald E. Nulph, Jr of Worthington, William A. Nulph
Butler, Pa., Larry A. Nulph of Cowansville, Pa., Kenneth D. Nulph and Terry L.
Nulph, both of Worthington; and one sister Mrs. Wayne (Keitha Lynn) Blake of
Adrain, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Kristy; and one
brother James Nulph in 1978.
Friends of Janice Kay (Nulph) Hooks, 49, of RD 1, Worthington, Pa. who died,
Friday, July 18, 1997, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to
1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home, Inc. A Forethought Member, 119 Bear St. Worthington, where funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 1997 with the Rev. John
Snyder, officiating.
Interment will take place in the Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery,
Worthington, Pa.
