Gregory John Conrad

Gregory John Conrad, 17, of Worthington, died suddenly at 7:30 p.m. yesterday,
October 20, 1965, en route to the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital,
Kittanning. He came home from school yesterday feeling ill. When his condition
became worse toward evening, the ambulance was called but he died before
reaching the hospital. Cause of his death is still unknown, and investigation is
continuing.

Born May 2, 1948, in Kittanning, Gregory was the son of Michael and Anna
(Lucheon) Conrad Sr.

The popular Worthington youth was a member of the 1966 Senior Class at
Worthington-West Franklin High School, where he played on the basketball team.
He was a member of the Worthington band, and "The Chessmen" dance combo in the
area.

He was a member of St. Andrew's Russian Orthodox Church, Lyndora.

Surviving are his parents; a brother, Michael Conrad Jr. of Worthington; four
sisters, Mrs. George (Ann) Polacek of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Steven (Dorothy)
Furimsky of Vienna, Va., Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Risch of Worthington, and Sharon
Conrad at home; and nine nieces and nephews.

Friends of Gregory John Conrad of Worthington, who died Wednesday, Oct. 20,
1965, will be received at the James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington, from 7
to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will
be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from St. Andrew's Russian Orthodox Church,
Lyndora, with the Rev. Michael Radyk, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in North Cemetery, Butler, Pa.
