James Frederick Smith

James Frederick Smith, 36, of Worthington R.D. 1 died Monday evening, July 18,
1983, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

Born June 21, 1947, in Kittanning, he was a son of Emma M. (Roofner) Smith and
the late Roy J. Smith.

He was a 1965 graduate of Worthington High School.

He was a member of the Worthington United Presbyterian Church and was a former
employee of Hindman Equipment Company of Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Mary J. (Brocious) Smith, his mother, Emma M.
(Roofner) Smith of Worthington R.D. 1, one brother, Donald E. Smith of
Worthington; one sister, Mrs. Ray C. (Shirley M.) Claypoole Jr. of Worthington,
R.D. 1; his paternal grandfather, Harry J. Smith of Worthington; his maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Roofner of Worthington R.D. 2 and a number
of aunts and uncles.

Friends of James Frederick Smith, 36, of Worthington R.D. 1 died Monday, July
18, 1983, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday at the James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington. Friends will
also be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Worthington Presbyterian
Church, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Officiating will be his
pastor, the Rev. Robert Dayton.

Burial will take place in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington,
Pa.
