William Ralph Bernard
William Ralph Bernard, 68, of Clarington, Pa., formerly of Worthington, Pa.,
went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 1, 2016 at the Presbyterian
Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born September 2, 1947 in Kittanning Pa. to Clayton and Ruth (Cole)
Bernard.
He was a 1965 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
William honorably served his country in the United States Army during the
Vietnam War and worked and retired from ARMCO/AK Steel.
He was the owner of the Cook Forest Motel and Cabins.
He was a member of the VFW Post, Butler Lodge #272, Butler Royal Arch Chapter
#273, Royal and Select Masons of Pa., and Lorraine Commandery #87 Knights
Templar in Butler, Pa.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Bernard of Worthington, Pa., Jeffrey (Dee)
Bernard of West Sunbury, Pa., and William Bernard of Worthington, Pa., and one
daughter, Ann Bernard.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, one sister, Jane (David) Hoover of
New Castle, Pa., and one brother Edward (Georgia) Bernard of Freeport, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Keeping in accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services and a
memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
