Larry Duane Claypoole

Larry Duane Claypoole, 68, of Kittanning, Pa., died Friday, August 8, 2014, at
home.

He was born April 24, 1946, in Kittanning. He was the stepson of Carl H. Bowser
and son of the late Jean Evelyn (Claypoole) Bowser.

He attended Wortington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was a resident of Kittanning for the past 40 years.

He was a heavy equipment operator for several different strip mines and worked
part time for Rayburn Township up until his death.

He enjoyed hunting, was a Steelers fan and enjoyed spending time with his
friends. He was a volunteer fireman at the Kittanning Township Volunteer Fire
Department for many years.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelly Casey (Ken), of Erie; sons, Larry D.
Claypoole Jr. (fiance, Ashley Godfrey), of Lockport, N.Y., and Ashley P.
Claypoole (Bryn), of Erie; stepdaughter, Kelly Stover, of Commodore; stepson,
Greg Claypoole, of Kittanning; brothers, Terry Lynn Bowser (Ruth), of Sarver,
Pa., and Gregory Carl Bowser (Amy), of Worthington. He is also survived by 17
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces
and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Evelyn Bowser; and son, Brian K.
Claypoole. 

Friends will be received from 1:30 until the time of memorial service at 2 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME.
