Betty Louise Glendening

Betty Louise Kuntz Glendening, age 84, of Kittanning, PA, died Monday, October
10, 2011 at VNA Hospice, Butler, PA.

She was born October 6, 1927 in Marion Center, Indiana Co., PA, the daughter of
Lee D. and Catherine (Miller) Kuntz.

Betty lived in Marion Center most of her early life, but her family moved to
Kiski Twp. and she graduated from Elders Ridge High School in 1945. Following
her high school graduation she enrolled in the Indiana State Teachers College
but left in 1947 to become a secretary with the Aluminum Company of America in
New Kensington. In 1965 she continued her teaching studies and received her
degree in 1967.

Betty taught for 18 years in the Armstrong School District, educating and
investing in students at the former Pine Hill, Worthington Elementary and North
Buffalo Elementary schools. She retired in 1985 and had time to spend on her
favorite hobbies: reading and traveling with her husband. Betty dedicated her
life to her family, and her husband, children and grandchildren are forever
grateful for the love and care she had for them throughout the years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Charles E. Glendening, Sr.,
whom she married November 26, 1948; son, Charles E. Glendening, Jr. and wife
Carolyn, of Butler; grandson, Andrew Glendening and wife Christina, of Bowie,
MD; granddaughter, Meredith Glendening and husband Travis Anderson, of Butler;
sister, Janice Lee Philips and husband Charles, of Venetia, Washington Co, PA;
and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM
on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, with the Rev. Dr. Allyn Ricketts
officiating.

Entombment will be in the Temple of All Faiths Mausoleum at Lawn Haven Burial
Estates, East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, Worthington, Pa.

Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201 or the Kittanning Public Library, 280 N. Jefferson
St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
