Dale Victor Smith

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019 Dale Victor Smith passed away suddenly of natural
causes at the age of 76.

Born April 20, 1943 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Garnet (Bowser)
Smith. He grew up on a farm in Worthington, Pennsylvania with two brothers.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

A Jack-of-all-trades, Dale worked in many varying occupations ranging from
mining to construction, in multiple states, before finding his way to Carbon
County, Montana in 1979.

On Oct. 29, 1966 Dale married Dorothy (Cole) Smith, re-exchanging their vows
Oct. 29, 1989. Between the two of them they had a total of eight children.

Dale enjoyed spending much of his time hunting, fishing, gardening, playing
cards with friends, and having BBQs with family. Dale had a talent playing the
accordion. He would often play his personal favorite Wabash Cannonball while the
kids would dance. Those closest to him will greatly miss his genuine smile and
his sense of humor with an endless supply of jokes.

He is survived by his wife, brother, Donald, eight children, and numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lester and two grandsons.

Dale was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the
summer of 2018. His services will be held at the Red Lodge LDS Church at 4 W
Fork Rd in Red Lodge, Montana, at 11 a.m., Saturday June 15, 2019.

We love and miss you dad. We will see you again one day.
