George Lee Kilgore SR
George Lee Kilgore, Sr., 48, of Portersville RD 1, Pa., died Saturday, May 16,
1992 at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler, Pa.
He was born September 1, 1943, in Crawford County to Virgil and Myrtle
(Claypool) Kilgore.
He graduated in 1963 from Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Mr. Kilgore was employed as district manager for Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh and
was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Fries) Kilgore, whom he married April 20,
1966; three sons, George Lee Kilgore Jr., of Worthington, Joseph and John
Kilgore, at home; six brothers, Ralph, Donald and Walter J. Kilgore, all of
Worthington RD 1, Daniel Kilgore of Kittanning RD 7, and Harley Evans Kilgore of
Sand Lake, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Cordelia) Yapp of Kittanning RD 4,
Mrs. Robert (Virgie Marie) Crawford of Worthington RD 2, Mrs. George (Janice
Lenore) Berridge of Grandville, Mich., and Mrs. James (Linda Lou) Cole of Grand
Rapids, Mich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Jamie
Lee.
Friends of George Lee Kilgore Sr. of Porterville, R.D. 1, who died Saturday, May
16, 1992, will be received at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday.
Interment in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
