Lester Eugene Branan

Lester Eugene "Buster" Branan, 60, of Shelocta RD2 died Monday, September 23,
2002 at his residence.

He was born March 3, 1942 in Worthington to Frank and Doris (Campbell) Branan.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mr. Branan was employed by Megnin Cooperage Mills in Whitesburg and also for the
United Mine Workers of America Local 1412.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Velma Ruth (Kimmel) Branan, whom he
married Feb. 19, 1964; five sons, Jerry Branan of North Carolina, Garold Branan
and Gary Branan, both of Shelocta, Wayne Branan of Indiana and Scott Branan of
Yatesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Leslie) Williams of North Carolina, Mrs.
William (Debbie) Fulmer of Indiana, Bridget Brown of Yatesboro; 22
grandchildren; five brothers, William Branan of Germany, Robert Branan of
Kittanning, Ronald Branan of NuMine, Gary Branan of Adrian and Kenneth Branan of
Home; and four sisters, Evie Ann Lemaster of West Virginia, Karen Davis and
Virginia Claypool, both of Ford City and Patricia Shank of NuMine.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Friends of Lester Eugene Branan, 60, of Shelocta RD2, who died Sept. 23, 2002,
will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home, Bear Street, Worthington, where funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dottie Kunselman, pastor of the Plumcreek Church
of the Brethren, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
