Sadie Loraine Beers Rupert

Sadie Loraine (Beers) Rupert, 60, of 268 Pulaski Mercer Road, Pulaski (Mercer
County), died Monday, July 28, 2003 at UPMC Shenango Hospital. 

She was born February 19, 1943 in Worthington to Raymond Earl and Nettie Mae
(Slagel) Beers. 

Mrs. Rupert was a homemaker who formerly worked at the West Middlesex High
School cafeteria. 

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

She was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church of Greenfield and attended New
Wilmington United Methodist Church. 

Her other memberships in-cluded the Order of Eastern Star Shanango Chapter 333
and the Ladies Auxillary of She-nango Township Volunteer Fire Department, Mercer
County. 

She volunteered for the New Castle Cathedral where she assisted with bingo. 

She was an avid bingo player. 

Survivors include her hus-band, Harry A. Rupert whom she married Nov. 23, 1962;
three sons, Raymond Rupert, at home, Daniel Rupert of West Middlesex and Floyd
Rupert of Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) DiClaudio of Masury, Ohio;
five grandchildren; five brothers, Calvin Beers of Freeport, Paul Beers, Clair
Beers, William Beers and Clarence Beers all of Kittanning; six sisters, Aldora
Clever, Bessie Frantz and Deloris Miller all of Kittanning, Mar-garet Smeltzer
of Elderton, Helen Brannon of Worthington and Martha Boyer of New Bedford. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Ryan Neil Rupert; and
two brothers, Roy and Donald Beers. 

Friends of Sadie L. (Beers) Rupert, 60, of 268 Pulaski Mercer Road, Pulaski
(Mercer County), who died July 28, 2003 will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home, 310 W.
Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, where a funeral ser-vice will be held at 11
a.m. with the Rev. Nancy Mussehl, pastor of New Wilmington United Methodist
Church, officiating. 

Burial will be at Neshannock Cemetery, New Wilmington, Pa. 

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
