Walter Frederick Davis
Walter Frederick "Fred" Davis, 59, of Granite City, Ill., died Saturday, April
17, 2004 at his residence of cancer.
He was born December 9, 1944, in Cowansville to Robert E. Davis and Gladys
(Montgomery) Taylor.
He was a 1962 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Mr. Davis served in the Army 298th Transportation Company in Germany. He then
became a truck driver and ended his career with Greentree Transportation
Company.
Survivors include his wife, Gerry Rapp Davis; one son, Daniel R. Davis of
Readyville, Tenn.; four daughters, Michelle Wilson of Chambersburg, Kimberly S.
Beham of East Brady, Crystal Haeffner and Vera A. Davis, both at home; one
stepson, Monty W. Rapp of Granite City; one stepdaughter, Dawn M. Ballion of
Granite City; six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; his parents of
Worthington; two brothers, John Elwood Davis of Cowansville, Pa. and Ralph
Theodore Davis Sr. of Worthington; one sister, Janet Glee Jesteadt of Prospect
Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
Viewing and memorial services will be today in Granite City, Il. |
