Dorothy Lee Claypoole
Dorothy Lee Claypoole, 41, of RD 1, Worthington, Pa., died at 9:02 a.m.
Thursday, March 3, 1983, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin
Township, Kittanning, Pa.
Born April 2, 1941, in West-Franklin Township, she was a daughter of the late
Wade Stanley Sr. and Vera Gladys (Gaiser) Claypoole.
She was a 1962 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church, RD 1, Worthington, Pa.,
and the Women's Missionary Society.
She is survived by one brother, Donald Glenn Claypoole of RD 2, Tyrone, Pa.;
four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Freda Alene) Peechatka of RD 1, Henryville, Pa.,
Mrs. Carl H. (Jean Evelyn) Bowser of RD 1, Worthington, Mrs. Paul L. (Doris
Louise) Wagner of Sharon, Pa., and Mrs. William C. (Shirley Ruth) Higginson of
RD 1, Worthington; a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade
Stanley "Junior" Claypoole Jr. on July 7, 1945, and an infant brother at birth.
Two sisters; Bernice Elizabeth Williams on April 8, 1982, and an infant sister
at birth.
Friends of Dorothy Lee Claypoole, 41, of RD 1, Worthington, Pa., who died
Thursday, March 3, 1983, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 3
p.m. Saturday, March 5, 1983, at the James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington.
Friends will also be received from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m.
Sunday, March 6, 1983, at the Franklin Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Roland
Clemson, church pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington,
Pa.
