Walter Leroy Travis

Walter Leroy Travis, 21, of 329 1/2 N. McKean St., Kittanning, died at 9:12 p.m.
yesterday, May 16, 1963, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital from injuries
sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born July 24, 1941, in North Buffalo Township, a son of Sylvester M. and
Lurena Malinda (Grafton) Travis.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Travis served three years in the Navy prior to his discharge in June 1962.

Surviving are his mother, with whom he made his home; two brothers, Sylvester
Travis of 1425 4th Ave., Ford City, and Leonard Travis with the Navy at
Meridian, Miss.; one half-brother, Donald D. Grafton of Kittanning R.D. 3; three
sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Margaret) Rushing of Baton Rouge, La., Helen Travis of
Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Thomas (Anna) Lasher of McGrann.

Friends willl be received at Flick (Walker) Funeral Home, Worthington after 7
this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday.  There will be no visiting
hours Sunday afternoon.  Visitation will resume Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. William B.
Gauntz of Center Hill Brethren Church, officiating.  

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
