Valentine Leon Osinski

Valentine Leon 'Val' Osinski, 71, of Coral Springs, Florida, died suddenly at
home on March 30, 2014.

He was born November 23, 1942, son of Valentine and Carmella (Calire) Osinski,
in Buffalo, NY.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

As a young man, Val earned an engineering degree at The Ohio State University
and was employed by General Motors in the Diesel Motor Division, developing
turbine engines and alternative fuel sources.

In 1972, after receiving a law degree at Wayne State University he relocated his
family to the nascent community of Coral Springs.

As one of the first five attorneys in town, Val was well known for his
professional acumen and personal commitment to serve a multi-generational family
of clients, many of whom became his friends.

After a remarkable career as a solo practitioner of law, Val was planning
retirement in May.

Val had many talents and interests. He had a beautiful singing voice, played a
variety of musical instruments, and was a great dancer. He was an avid bass
fisherman, an enthusiastic barbecuer and curious world traveler. Along with
Ilona, he was a gracious host and was known for famous Thanksgiving dinners and
Christmas parties.

Beloved husband of Ilona; they would have celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary in August. He was the loving father of Lisa M., Julie M. (Bill Burk)
and Val E. Osinski. He was an esteemed attorney of 43 years in private service
to the Coral Springs community. Val is survived by 6 younger sisters: Jacqueline
Joan "Jackie" Taschler (Frank J.) of Bay Village, Ohio, Josephine N. "Jo"
Walrath (Craig D.) of Cantonsville, Maryland, Kathy Rose Gozelanczyk (Steven E.)
of Cuyahoga, Ohio, Frances Helen "Frannie" Cratin (Robert E.) of Orchard Park,
NY., Dee Osinski, Camille Harris, his brother- in- law Edward F. Parsch and
sister-in-law Rose Marie and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation on Wednesday, April 2 will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Kraeer
Funeral Home,1420 N. University Dr., Coral Springs, FL 33071, (954) 255-8411. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m.
at Mary of Help of Christians, 5980 University Drive, Parkland, Florida.

A donation in memory of Val may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis, Gold Coast Guild
c/o Carole Falkanger, 12251 Northwest 4th Street, Plantation, Florida.
