Edna Albert Smail Wiegand
Edna Alberta "Bertie" Wiegand, 69, of Kittanning, died Friday, March 25, 2011,
in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 27, 1941, daughter of the late Jay and Irene (Nicewonger)
Smail.
She was a 1960 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and painting ceramics.
Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey A. Wiegand, of Rural Valley, David N.
Wiegand, of Kittanning, and Ronald S. (Carol) Wiegand, of Cowansville; daughter,
Dian L. (Paul) Roccia, of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; sisters, Gladys
Little, of Pittsburgh, Twila (Joe) Glass, of Delaware, Vernie (Jack) Braley, of
Tennessee, and Carol Ann Haddinger, of Iowa; and brother, J. Warren (Judy)
Smail, of Kittanning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin
Wiegand, Jan. 10, 2009; and sister, Betty Mae Myers.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, in Kittanning, where services will
be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Nathan Bramlet officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Rural Valley, Pa.
