Luther Harold Robinson
Luther Harold Robinson, 73, of Indiana, Pa., passed Friday, January 16, 2015, at
his residence, surrounded by the loving, comforting care of his family.
He was born April 27, 1941, in Buffalo Valley, Armstrong County, a son of the
late Thomas Henry Robinson and Velma (Bowser) Robinson Elsenrath.
Mr. Robinson was a 1960 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.
After 28 years of service, he retired from People's Gas. Prior to his
retirement, he had worked at McCreary Tire and Rubber for 12 years in Indiana.
He also served in the National Guard for six years.
He was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana, Pa., where he was
involved with the Stevens Ministry, Christian Counseling and was also an elder,
deacon and usher. Mr. Robinson enjoyed camping and spending time with his
family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gaylene Peters Robinson, of Indiana;
three daughters, Lianna Sue and husband, Scott William Empfield, of Rimersburg,
Pa., Jodi Lynn and husband James Darrel Cunkelman of Blairsville, Pa., and Heidi
Ann and husband, David Hill of Jefferson, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Zachary
Luther Empfield and fiancee, Brianna Robertson, Alysia Lynn and husband John
Longwell, John Cunkleman, Matthew James Cunkelman, Emily Lynn Cunkelman, Brandon
Cunkelman, Bryson Hill and Brianna Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd "James"
Robinson; a half brother, Thomas Robinson; and a half sister, Dorothy Hayes.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday
at Graystone Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard E. Hurley officiating.
Private interment will be held in the Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum, Indiana, Pa.
