Ernest Chester Garis
Ernest Chester Garis, 60, of Fenelton died Monday, July 16, 2001, at Butler
Memorial Hospital.
Born in Worthington, September 18, 1940, he was the son of William M. and
Blanche M. (Shetler) Garis.
He was a 1960 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was a former member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington.
Mr. Garis was a retired coal miner.
He is survived by his companion, Carol Osche; three stepdaughters, Mrs. James
(Peggy) Westerman and Mrs. Keith (Tammy) Comer, both of Fenelton, and Mrs.
Robert (Patty) Martinkovich of Butler; a stepson, Harry Osche of Fenelton; and
nine step-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. William (Maxine) Patrick of Butler, also
survives.
Two brothers, William JR. and Robert and an infant sister, Rebecca, preceded him
in death
There will be no public visitation. A private funeral service will be held at
the convenience of the family.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
