Melvin Elbridge Johns

Melvin Elbridge Johns, 74, of 1206 Petersburg Road, Hadley, Pa., died the
morning of Friday, November 19, 2010 at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, Pa.
 
Born November 30, 1938, in Kittanning, Pa., to Melvin and Carrie (Birch) Johns.
 
He attended Worthington-West Franklin Schools, Worthington, Pa.
 
He served a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy.
 
He married Hilberta M. (Buckley) on March 21, 1964.
 
He retired from Rezner Manufacturing as a welder after many years of service.
Previously, he worked at Greenville Steel Car, Greenville, Pa.
 
He was a member of Donation Hill Church, Cochranton, Pa.
 
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, card playing and time spent with his family.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Raymond E. Johns of Hadley and
a daughter, Paula M. Ryhal and her husband, John N. Ryhal. of Fredonia, Pa.; a
brother, Robert William Johns and his wife, Judy L. of Franklin, Pa. and three
grandsons.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Emmaline M. (Johns)
Crissman Black on Jan 5, 1996

Interment in Hadley Cemetery, Hadley, Pa.
