June Alberta Rhoades English

June Alberta (Rhoades) English, 83, of Worthington, was called home by the Lord
on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

she was born July 12, 1940, in Kittanning, she was the second daughter of
Richard and Esther (Rodgers) Rhoades. 
She grew up in Worthington with older sister Judith and younger brother Donald.


She was a 1958 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School in Worthington,
PA.

After high school, she married John "Jack" English. Over the next few years,
they welcomed a son John "Eric" and a daughter Robin. The young family moved out
West to California where they spent the next 20-plus years. 

June became an avid bowler with her and Jack participating in leagues and
winning many tournaments. 

She also had a passion for sewing and creativity. She was a talented
seamstress/dressmaker, and enjoyed doll making and creating a variety of other
crafts.

The early 90's brought June and Jack back to Worthington where they lived out
the remainder of their lives among family and friends.

June is survived by her sister Judith (Rhoades) Toy of Fenelton; her brother Don
Rhoades of Worthington; son John (Ann) English of Worthington; daughter Robin
(Jim) Schwartz formerly of Kittanning; six grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Jack (July 9,
2000).

At June's request, there will be no public viewing or funeral. 

There will be a private gravesite service at a later date at Lawn Haven Burial
Estates. 

The family wishes to express thanks to the staff of Maple Hall at QLS Sugarcreek
for their compassionate care.
