James Paul Janukites

James Paul "Jim" Janukites, 80, passed away peacefully at home, August 6, 2018.

He was born February 4, 1938, the son of Peter and Sara (Elder) Janukites. 

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa., and later
enrolled in Delta college earning an Associates Degree. 

He served his country in the U. S. Air Force for 8 years, during his time of
service, he married his loving wife, Mary. 

He worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service for
36 years. 

James was a member of St. George Parish, where he served as an Ordained Deacon
for the Catholic Stockton Diocese for 25 years and taught confirmation classes.
He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer Chaplin
for the Stockton Fire Dept.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Janukites, of 58 years, daughter, Kelly (Jim)
Mickelsen, son, Timothy Janukites, grandchildren, Jordan Janukites of Utah,
Victoria (Jason) Araujo, Thomas Mickelsen and Taylor Janukites. He is also
survived by his brother, Joe (Janet) Janukites, sister, Stella (Ralph) Hotz of
Pennsylvania. Lifetime friends, Jim Fallon of New York City and Joe Marsicano of
Oklahoma, numerous family and friends and his special buddy Jake, his Jack
Russel Terrier dog. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Janukites and Sara Elder and
siblings, Francis, Mary, Pete, Anne, Helen, Bill and George.

Vigil will be held on August, 12th at 3pm at the Chapel of the Palms, Stockton,
CA. 

Funeral services will be held on Aug., 13th at 10am at St. George Catholic
Church in Stockton, CA.
