John Earl Ernst

John Earl Ernst, 77, of Butler, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016, at the VNA
Hospice Inpatient.

He was born April 8, 1939, in Yellowdog, Pa., to the late Malcom Ward Ernst and
Lillian Dell (McClain) Ernst.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

John worked as a School Bus General Manager for Laidlaw. 

He was a member in the Italian Club of Butler. John's favorite work was as a
self-employed Disc Jockey for 20 years as J.C.'s Disc Jockey.

John is survived by his wife, Susan, who he married on April 24, 1964; one
daughter, S. Joneen Ernst-Mascellino and her husband, Chuck, of Evans City; one
son, Derek Chad Ernst and his wife, Rita, of Cranberry Township; five
grandchildren, Dylan Mascellino, Ariana Mascellino, Alec Mascellino, Gabe Davis
and Arabella Ernst; one sister, Judy Blecha of Gainesville, Ga.; four nieces,
Amy, Karen, Laura and Lisa; and one nephew, Glenn.

Friends of John Ernst, who passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, will be received
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124
E. North Street, Butler.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
Darren Bowers, pastor of Northway Christian Community, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler, Pa.
