Jack Edward Harkless

Jack Edward Harkless, 53, of Craigsville, Armstrong County, died Tuesday, August
2, 1992, at his home.

Born April 18, 1939, in Worthington, he was the son of Millard E. and Dessie
(McCanna) Harkless.

He was a 1957 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He had been an employee of the Timberline Packing Co. in Knox.

Mr. Harkless was a member of the Craigsville United Methodist Church.

A Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Knox
American Legion, the Clarion Moose and the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are two step-sons, Franklin Neely, of Clarion and Alfred Neely of
Shippenville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Marlene) Whitling of Knox and
Mrs. Ronald (Pearl) Pastilock of Shippenville; two brothers, William Harkless of
Craigsville and Millard E. Harkless Jr. of Cowansville R.D. 1; four sisters,
Mrs. James (Joan C.) Claypool of Craigsville, Mrs. Paul (Linda L.) Stamp of
Sarver, Mrs. Ken (Lori Sue) McLay of Cowansville R.D. 1 and Jean H. Smith of
Kittanning R.D. 5; his ex-wife, Velma (Neely) Hawk of Knox; three
step-grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Friends of Jack Edward Harkless, 53, of Craigsville, Armstrong County, who died
Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1992, will be received at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in
Cowansville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be
conducted from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.Sharon Schwab,
pastor of the Craigsville United Methodist Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
