Carl Leroy Cypher
Carl Leroy Cypher, 84, of Worthington, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at
Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1939, in Worthington to the late Paul and Henrietta
(Schnur) Cypher.
He was a 1957 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
Carl was a retired truck driver and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
Carl was also a member of the Worthington American Legion, Happy Hunters
Sportsman Club in Fenelton, and the R.C. Men’s Club in Herman.
He enjoyed farming and playing horseshoes.
Carl is survived by his wife of 64 years Sandra (Rearick) Cypher of Worthington;
son COL. Retired Kenneth (Beth) Cypher of Emlenton; granddaughters Sabrine
Cypher PhD. of Framingham, MA; Mackenzie Cypher of Emlenton, and Miranda Cypher
of Thorndale, PA; brothers Edward (Dolly) Cypher of Chicora and COL. Retired
Ronald (Dorothy) Cypher of Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert Cypher and Larry
“Butch” Cypher; sister Jean Crytzer.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home in Worthington from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral
Mass will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St John Roman
Catholic Church in Coylesville.
The interment is in St. John Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
