Virginia Lee Claypoole Alese

Virginia Lee (Claypoole) Alese, 73, of Kittanning, died Thursday, November 8,
2012, at her residence. 

She was born September 18, 1939, to Ray and Margaret (Shields) Claypoole SR. 

She was a 1957 graduate of Worthington High School, completed her batchelor's
degree at Clarion University and earned a master's degree from Penn State
University. She taught in the Armstrong County School District for 35 years. 

Mrs. Alese was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church and Alpha Delta Kappa
sorority. Her hobbies included gardening and listening to the music of Celine
Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Also, she enjoyed spending time on the family farm and
shopping with her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sister, Joanne Hepler;
parents, Ray and Margaret Claypoole; and niece, Shelby and Ed Papciak. 

Surviving are her son, Joseph and wife, Kimberly, and daughter, Carla; two
brothers, Ray Claypoole Jr. and Mervin Claypoole; a close nephew, Scott Hepler;
four grandchildren, Lexi, London, Liam and Lucas Alese; and several nieces and
nephews. 

Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., 701
Sixth Ave., Ford City. There will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of
service at 11 a.m. Monday in Franklin Union Baptist Church with Pastor Scott
Jones officiating. 

Interment in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
