James Roy Claypool SR

James Roy Claypool Sr., 71, of Worthington, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at his
home. 

He was born February 7, 1939, in Worthington, a son of the late Walfred N.
Claypool and Martha Ruth (McAuley) Claypool and was a lifelong resident of the
area.

He was a 1957 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He worked as a machinist for Pullman Standard in Butler, D.L. Bauman in
Saxonburg and Applied Test Systems in Butler. 

He was a member of Craigsville United Methodist Church. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved rides in the country spotting
deer. 

James is survived by his two sons, James R. Claypool Jr. and his wife, Tracie,
of Maumelle, Ark., and Jeffrey A. Claypool, of Worthington; daughter, Jennifer
L. Porter and her husband, Patrick, of Worthington; three granddaughters, Krista
F. Claypool, of Maumelle, Ark., Kelsi Lee Porter, of Worthington, and Hailey N.
Porter, of Worthington; and a brother, Fred J. Claypool and his wife, Ginny, of
Kittanning. In addition to his parents, 

James was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Claypool. 

Friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the
time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME,
Worthington, with Pastor Jeremy Andrews officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Craigsville United Methodist Church.
