Sylvia Marlene Bowser Stewart
Sylvia Marlene Stewart, 83, of Worthington, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023,
at Grey's Colonial Acres.
She was born December 29, 1939, in Worthington to the late Dennis and Virgie
(Rhoades) Bowser.
She was a 1957 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She worked at Moonlight Mushroom Mine in Worthington, and then became a
supervisor at Mid Continent Telephone Company.
Sylvia was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.
She enjoyed being at home and raising her family.
She is survived by her sister, Twila Strobel, her daughter, Vivian Maxwell and,
her son Robert.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bert, and two
brothers, Erwin and Eldon.
Per Sylvia’s wishes there will be no public viewing or services.
A private family burial took place on Friday, May 26, 2023, in the Worthington
Presbyterian Cemetery.
