Ruth Jane Black Alwine
Ruth Jane Black Alwine, 79, of Worthington died on Monday, September 30, 2019,
in Sunnyview Personal Care home in Butler.
She was born on November 20, 1939, in West Lebanon, Pa., to the late Arthur
Glen and Theda Agnes (McManus) Black.
Shw was 1957 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
Ruth is survived by her son, David Simmers; daughter, Kaylene Sue Fields;
grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Jonathan, Jennifer, Dakota, and Chloe; brother,
Alan and sisters, Louise King, Maxine Mullins and Dorothy Nadine Szul, and
Frances Cessna.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, James, William, and
Howard Paul.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday October 2, 2019 in The F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear Street, Worthington, PA 16262 from 2:00 p.m. until
time of services at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Nathan Bramlet.
Burial will follow in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
