William Wilson Harkless SR

William Wilson Harkless Sr., 76, of Worthington, Pa., died Wednesday, April 16,
2014, at home surrounded by his family. 

Born February 6, 1938, in Kittanning, Pa., he was a son of the late Millard
Edward and Dessie Fay (McCanna) Harkless.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

He was a lifelong member of the Worthington community. 

He was a shear operator for Pullman Standard and Vietnam War era veteran. 

He attended Craigsville United Methodist Church and was a member of the American
Legion in Cowansville, Pa. 

He is survived by his wife, Juliette B. (Gagne) Harkless, of Craigsville, Pa.;
sons, William Jr. (Norma) Harkless, of Kittanning, and Ronald Duane (Linda)
Harkless, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Rita Harkless (Bernando) Cruz, of
Blades, Del., Sherry Leon (Robert) Bartl, of Craigsville, Bradley Harkless, of
Kittanning, and Amanda Harkless, of Kittaning; siblings, Jean Harkless Smith, of
Kittaning, Linda L. Harkless Stamp, of Sarver, Pa., Millard E. Harkless Jr., of
Sarver, and Lori Sue Harkless McLay, of Cowansville, Pa.; great-granddaughters,
Sophia Eileen Martinez, of Blades, Del., Yasmin Juliette Cruz, of Blades, Del.,
Amber Rose Bartl, of Worthington, and Lily Anne Bartl, of Worthington; and
family  friend, Pam Turney. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Edward
Harkless on August 25, 1992, and his sister, Joan Christina Claypool on May 13,
2009. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 to 2 p.m.
Saturday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington, with services at 2 p.m.
in the funeral home. 

Interment will follow in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, worthington, Pa. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
