William Paul Reed

William Paul "Pete" Reed, 72, of Worthington, died Friday, February 18, 2011, at
his home. 

He was born April 6, 1938, in Worthington, son of the late C. Paul and Lois E.
(Zellefrow) Reed, and was a lifelong resident of the community.

He was a 1956 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He was the owner of Worthington Hardware, where he started working for his
family in 1949, and served in the Army Reserves. 

He was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of Elks
No. 203, in Kittanning. 
He loved watching baseball, traveling and going to casinos. 

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Linda (Bowser) Reed/Class of 1964; sons,
Gregory R./Class of1986 (Audrey) Reed and William E. "Bid" Reed/ Class of 1987
(companion, Jamie Graff), both of Worthington; daughter, Paula M. (Joe) Semler,
of Kittanning; stepson, Eric M. Wolfe, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Victoria
Reed, of Worthington, Jake Semler, Samantha Semler, Kirsten Wolfe and Cameron
Wolfe, all of Kittanning; brother, James Roderick/Class of 1954 (Joanne) Reed,
of Fenelton; and sister, Mildred "Sis" Cunningham/Class of 1960, of Pensacola,
Fla. 

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, in Worthington. Additional
visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
at Worthington Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mark Patz. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Worthington West Franklin Volunteer Fire
Department or to Worthington Presbyterian Church.
