James Ralph Bowser

James Ralph Bowser, 77, of Worthington, Pa., died Monday, May 5, 2014, in
Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning, Pa. 

Born December 13, 1936, in West Franklin Township (RR, Worthington), he was a
son of the late Ralph Valentine Bowser and Velma Jane (Millen) Bowser.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

He was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church, Worthington, Pa. 

Mr. Bowser had worked for Pullman Standard in Butler, Pa. He also was a member
of the Kittanning Men's Club and VFW in Kittanning. He enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include five children, Delbert R. Bowser, of Erie, Pa., Melissa Jane
Bowser, of San Francisco, Calif., Michelle Rose (Bowser) Rocco, of South
Carolina, Donald J. Bowser, of Worthington, and Jerry A. Bowser, of Kittanning;
a stepdaughter, Karen G. Shaffer, of Worthington; five grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Matthew 
Bowser, of Gastonia, N.C.; and longtime companion, Amy Mathieson, of
Kittanning. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosalie
(Painter) Bowser; and his second wife, Eleanor Fay (Rearick) Bowser. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the F. DUANE
SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11
a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. 

Interment in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
