David Nelson Buys
David Nelson Buys, 80, of East Franklin Township, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at
Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born October 8, 1937, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Nelson and Maude
(Hawk) Buys.
He was a 1955 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
David was U.S. Army veteran.
He attended Worthington Presbyterian Church and was a member of Kittanning-East
Brady Lodge No. 244, Free & Accepted Masons, the New Castle Consistory, and
Syria Shriners.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judy (Fry) Buys, daughter Darla, and
granddaughter, Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018,
at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home at 119 Bear St. in Worthington, with a
Masonic service held at 6:45 p.m.
Funeral services will be private, and interment will be at Lawn Haven Burial
Estates, Worthington, Pa.
